Albert G. Tierney III, Executive Vice President

Sandy Tierney serves as a real estate advisor to the firm’s clients
with a specialization in non-profit and institutional real estate transaction
management. A Counselor of Real Estate (CRE) involved in the real estate
industry as an attorney, developer and advisor for over 30 years, Sandy’s
current assignments include Berklee College of Music, Joslin Diabetes
Clinic and Raytheon Company.
Sandy was part of the McCall & Almy team that was awarded the Suburban
Office Deal of the Year in 2003 by the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.
Prior to joining McCall & Almy in 1991, Sandy was Vice President and
General Manager of Leggat McCall/Grubb & Ellis, one of Boston’s
leading real estate brokerage firms. He was also a partner at The Pyramid
Companies, one of the largest developers of regional shopping malls in
the northeast. From 1984 to 1988, he served as Senior Vice President and
General Counsel of J. Bildner & Sons, a gourmet grocery store chain,
where his responsibilities included the company’s real estate matters.
He practiced real estate and corporate law in the Boston area for 13 years.
Sandy is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and
the Commercial Brokers Association (CBA). He is also a member of the Real
Property and Business Law sections of the Massachusetts Bar Association.
He is a member and past President of the University Club of Boston and
currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee and Building Development
Chair of Squashbusters, a non-profit, academic, athletic and community
service program for Boston youth. He is also on the Board and serves as
a member of the Executive Committee of FC Greater Boston, a youth soccer
club.
Sandy received a Juris Doctor from Boston College and a BA in History
from Dartmouth College.
